Breaking It Up (Pocketknife’s Loosefoot Remix)
Say hello to my obsession – Li Lykke Timotez Zachrisson. Performing as simply Lykke Li, she is a Swedish indie singer who blends elements of pop, electronic and alternative rock. She also likes to include and experiment with other instruments such as violins, tambourines, trumpets saxophones and cellos. Her debut album released in 2008, Youth Novels, was incredibly succesful along with “A Little Bit” — a trademark beat and one of my favorites. In teaming up for a remix with Drake on his album, the duo managed to add even more emotion. The reason I love this Swede is because of her delicate voice. She brings excitement by soothing her listeners with a sexy apprehensive tone. Although it takes some time to hear her in the Pocketknife Loosefoot Remix, when she comes in it is truly amazing. The combination of her voice and a simple upbeat instrumental tempo is one of the most welcoming things I’ve ever heard. Enjoy this cutie’s appeal and tracks.
