Sleigh Bells – Run The Heart (DJ Philistine Remix)

DJ Philistine is an up an coming DJ from San Francisco. I started listening to him this summer when he came out with mash-ups featuring artists like T.I, Bun-B, Slim-Thug, and Ludacris. At first, I thought he was just another simple mash-up “artist,” but I was soon proven wrong by his subsequent releases. In his latest remix of Sleigh Bells’ Run The Heart, DJ Philistine shows that he is much more than that. Sparingly distorting the vocals, DJ Philistine adds powerful synth and bass to the original;  giving the song a cleaner and more polished feel. In my opinion, DJ Philistine’s version of Run The Heart is better than Bassnectar’s. But that’s just my opinion. You guys can decide for yourself.
