This gorgeous little piece of surf-rock comes from the Best Coast/Wavves joint 7” Summer is Forever, apparently available only at shows on their upcoming concert tour. For some reason, recently a lot of hipsters have been turning on Best Coast, presumably because Beth Cosentino and crew have garnered a bit of popularity. Well, fuck those hipsters then. Best Coast is fucking great. Does this song fall in line with the same “cookie-cutter” mold the rest of their songs do? Yeah, it does. But, to follow the analogy, when your recipe leads to delicious cookies every time, why in the hell would you change it? Basically, if you liked their old stuff, you’ll like this new track and if you didn’t, don’t bother with this one. /rant.
