Good morning fellow audiophiles. Today I have something very special for you. Kraak & Smaak has been featured on Upside Sounds before, having released a fantastic remix of Darwin Deez’s Bad Day. They are a prolific production trio from a small place about 20 minutes away from where I’m sitting at this moment and are currently one of the most sought-after performers in the electronic music scene. They’ve played at all of the big festivals – Coachella, WMC, Glastonbury, Lowlands – and have had their sounds played everywhere, from commercials to the Jimmy Kimmel Show.
Just a couple of days ago they released their 3rd album “Electric Hustle”. The sound is much more electronic than in their previous albums, but the jazzy, funky sounds are unmistakably Kraak & Smaak. Incorporating the talents of established and upcoming Dutch singers such as Lex Empress and Janne Schra, the versatility of the trio is plain for all to see.
