For those of you who don’t know, “So High” was a track released by Sydney-based electropop group Van She in their debut album titled “V.” Although other songs off the album have earned the attention from several producers over the years, “So High” seems to be the proverbial diamond in the rough. Such a great song, I don’t quite understand why this track hasn’t become more popular. Luckily, Upside Favorite Alexandre Louvré has decided to give “So High” the attention it deserves by putting a nu-disco spin on this underrated gem. Marked by a series of mesmerizing loop-progressions, it becomes clear that Louvré intended to use the song’s vocals as the centerpiece of his edit. In the end, this makes for a dance-track that’s both fun to dance and sing along to. What more can you ask for?
