When we did our feature on Binary Entertainment last August, a band that particularly caught our attention was the electronic, pop duo FLASHLIGHTS, who consist of band members Ethan Converse and Sam Martin Rande. Although they’re no longer with the label (for reasons I do not know), FLASHLIGHTS are planning to release a brand-new EP as unsigned artists. Called “So Close To Midnight,” the band has been kind enough to release two, upcoming tracks from the release titled “Ruby Sun” and “Fireworks.”
What’s so interesting about the atmosphere the two are able to create within these tracks is how multifarious it sounds. Mixing in elements ranging from pop rock, to chillwave, to even garage, FLASHLIGHTS produce music that’s exceptionally unique and something I guarantee you haven’t heard before. If these song are any indication, I highly recommend you keep an eye on these guys for the next couple of months. Something magical is bound to happen!
